NBC’s hit reality competition “The Voice” has chosen four stars as mentors for the upcoming 9th season of the show. They include Selena Gomez for Gwen Stefani’s team, Brad Paisley for Blake Shelton’s, Missy Elliot for Pharell’s and John Fogherty for Adam Levine’s. At only 23, Gomez, of course, will be the youngest mentor of the bunch, and a source told US Weekly she was excellent at it and exceeded everyone’s expectations: “She was surprisingly amazing as a mentor even though she’s so young.”
The former Disney star has had a busy summer with a rumored love triangle, starring as the villain in her BFF, Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” video, promoting “Transylvania Hotel 2” and now being a mentor to help contestants during the battle rounds, right after their auditions. Gomez and the other three stars will be joining the likes of Alicia Keys, Lionel Richie, Stevie Nicks, Gavin Rossdale, Ellie Goulding and Meghan Trainer, who have been mentors in past seasons.
We can’t wait to see Gomez help contestants by sharing her knowledge and experiences with them. Season 9 of “The Voice” premieres on September 21, with the afore mentioned judges.
