Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber might have shared a rough past. But, does that mean Bieber is failing miserably at stopping himself from contacting her? Well, the answer is a resounding no, contrary to what’s being reported by most tabloids.
Not too long ago, “Radar Online” ran a juicy narrative last year hinting at a secret romance brewing between former lovers Bieber and Gomez. The blog carried the perspective of an “insider” who cited that Bieber was repeatedly asking Gomez for advice on ways to cope for dealing with his mental health. The supposed insider also alleges that Bieber told her that she looked “amazing” amid the promotions of her film “The Dead Don’t Die.”
While the report seemed to garner widespread intrigue, Gossip Cop sprang into action to get to the root of the matter. And, well, unsurprisingly, the guesses were right -- nothing about the story was true. A large part of it can be attributed to the vagueness on the part of the source. Everything written about Bieber initiating contact had a blanket of ambiguity surrounding it. There has been no clear mention of how exactly the contact was initiated in the first place: Face to face, call, or text? Nobody knows yet.
Fast forward to this year, and both the stars are at much better places in their lives. While Bieber has publicly admitted to being “reckless” in his past relationships; Gomez was vocal about how she suffered emotional abuse at the hands of Bieber while dating him.
While there might no longer be hard feelings between the two, it’s only understandable to note that the celebrity exes are keeping a healthy distance from each other. Case in point: They are both trying to get better with each passing day, and there’s no looking back.
What needs to be noted is that Bieber has personally evolved over time, and a lot of it has to do with the healthy relationship that he shares with wife Hailey Baldwin. On the other hand, the publication has a long-standing history of churning up bogus pieces that have been rubbished by Bieber’s rep over and over again.
