Is Scott Disick, Sofia Richie Romance Straining Her Relationship With Sister Nicole Richie?

Sofia Richie has had a lot to handle ever since she began dating Scott Disick. In fact, their romance has reportedly strained her relationship with older sister, Nicole Richie, to a great deal.

While the sisters aren’t really at loggerheads, one thing may be apparent — Nicole isn’t too happy about how quickly things are escalating between her little sister and Scott. The 15-year-age gap between Sofia and Scott is one of the aspects that Nicole allegedly has issues with.

Nicole’s concerns for her baby sister are legit as she reportedly believes that the 21-year-old American model is taking things a little too far with an older man with three children. What’s even worrying is that Sofia is apparently investing all her time in a relationship at a time when she should be focused on herself and her personal goals.

“Nicole and Sofia’s relationship has definitely become strained as Sofia’s relationship with Scott has grown more serious,” said the source to a popular entertainment portal. “Nicole was concerned when Scott and Sofia first started dating, but she didn’t really think they would last or become as serious as they have,” the source added.

The couple brought in Sofia’s 21st birthday in August in Las Vegas, where Scott gifted his ladylove a luxury Aston Martin black car with orange interior and wood detailing. The couple spent the weekend with a day party with friends and followed it up by frolicking the night away with heavy dancing and drinking.

Nicole allegedly sees a lot of potential in her younger sister and wouldn’t want her to trade her heydays for anything. “Nicole feels like Sofia’s too young to play stepmom at this point in her life,” said the source.

Sofia moved in with Scott and spends most of her time with him. Scott has three children (Mason, Penelope and Reign) with Kourtney Kardashian. Nicole has no issues with Scott’s past or his equation with his ex whatsoever.

However, what Nicole allegedly worries about is Sofia’s well-being. Scott happens to be Sofia’s first love, and she reportedly doesn’t want her little sister to end up with a broken heart.

While Nicole is said to be tad protective of her baby sister, she only wishes for her happiness by the end of it all. “Nicole will always be there for her sister and she also wants to be like a Mom-figure a little bit,” said the source. “Nicole would love nothing more than to have a solid relationship with her sister, and she is working on that day by day,” the source added.
