Sad news for the Kardashian family. Scott Disick's mother, Bonnie, died at 63 on Oct. 28. Disick and girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian, the mother of his two children, Mason and Penelope, flew to New York from Los Angeles to attend his mom's funeral in Long Island on Oct 30. "Scott was very close to his mother," a family source told RadarOnline. Details of her death and funeral remain private and Scott has not commented on his heartbreak. However, it was reported that her death was a consequence of a long illness.

Us Weekly noted that during his mother's final days, Scott was noticeably absent at several Kardashian-Jenner family gatherings, including Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's lavish engagement at San Francisco's AT&T Stadium on Oct. 21. He also missed a recent family trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, Calif. to celebrate Kendall Jenner's 18th birthday on Oct. 29, and he, along with Kourtney were also absent for Kris Jenner's family birthday celebration on Tuesday night. The pair remains in New York, where they have been spotted walking hand in hand together.

People might remember Bonnie when she was featured in one episode of the Kardashian's spin-off "Kourtney & Kim Take New York," in 2011, when Scott, Kourtney and Khloe headed to the Hamptons to allow Mason to spend time with his grandparents. She is also survived by her husband Jeff. According to a source close to the family, the only Kardashian at Bonnie's funeral was Kourtney, but the whole family was affected by her loss. "It was a small affair. There was just a handful of people," the source said. "No other Kardashians beyond Kourtney attended. But the entire family is saddened with the news of Bonnie's passing. They loved her so much."
