“Scandal” has captivated audiences with its high intensity drama for three seasons, but even more fun than the on-screen action was the off-screen social media. “Scandal” is one of the most tweeted about shows, with cast members like Kerry Washington and creator, Shonda Rhimes, actively interacting with fans via their personal Twitter accounts. Although “Scandal” now has its own scandal as a popular Twitter account, which gained notoriety for its controversial content and language has been ousted. According to The Wrap, Scandal411 and its coordinating website Scandal411.com was created and maintained by an ABC employee. The brains behind the provocative Twitter account, which gained over 26,000 followers, was Courtney Pajor, ABC's New York director of special sales.

“I am 100 percent sure that Scandal411 is Courtney Pajor,” a source told The Wrap. Scandal411 is notable for exposing spoiler like information about the series, in its own special way. The series plot is normally divulged through multiple expletives, and that’s just for the spoilers. If fans disagree with the tweets, the fan site would respond with expletive laden rants. The Daily Mail was able to capture a screenshot of one Scandal411’s tweets, the message posted on September 22 read, “If cursing offends you I apologize in advance … block me if you'd like … Don't think for a second I won't be pointing out glaring absurdities or errors when I start writing about Season 3. I will, however, point them out with a lot of 'f**ks' and hopefully with a lot of humor.”

The outing of the founder of the site may end up having serious backlash for the series and Pajor herself. "We take these allegations very seriously," the network issued in a statement. "We are investigating the situation and will handle accordingly." The twitter account was changed temporality from @Scandall411 to @GrantForPrez, a pun for the ABC series, but has now been deleted altogether. The website which is registered through the Wordpress service was made private by the owner. The discovery of the supposed “fan” site being run by an ABC employee may have serious consequences for “Scandal,” the show has received credit for its social media ranking and high frequency of online buzz. According to SocialGuide, “Scandal” is the seventh-most tweeted show of 2013, with 3.5 million interactions over the first six months of this year.
