Images of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra leaked online, showing a smartphone with a giant camera. The leaked image confirms previous rumors that the upcoming flagship will come with a redesigned camera and a more pronounced curvature.
With rumors looming that the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra may launch in January, a flurry of details on the upcoming phone are starting to roll in. On Saturday, a new set of renders from @onleaks made its way online, offering a first look at the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.
The leaked photos support speculations that the phone will feature centered punch hole cutouts like its predecessors and will sport a 6.7-6.9-inch screen with virtually no bezel around its display. In contrast to the display in the leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy S21, the screen of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is curved, although it looks pretty much the same as its sibling from the front.
Around the back, the phone comes with a radically distinct design, with a camera bump that is bigger than that of the S20 and wrapping around the side of the device. The images show all its four lenses laid out vertically at the top left corner, with the flash being housed separately from the camera bump. The source of the leaked images claimed that the camera block of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is almost twice as that of the standard Samsung Galaxy S21.
While the source did not specify the purpose of each lens, a previous leak suggested that the Galaxy S21 Ultra would come with a 108MP main sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide sensor, and two zoom lenses.
The listed dimensions for the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra come out to 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9mm. Its camera bump reportedly adds another 2 mm to its overall thickness.
If there is one rumor about the phone that’s been confirmed to be wrong, it’s the addition of an S-Pen. The source of the leaked images noted that the phone would not feature a slot for an S Pen, despite rumors that Samsung might add support for its stylus to the Galaxy S21 range.
Samsung has yet to announce the launch date for its new flagships.
