Salma Hayek is one of the many celebrities who love to be goofy on social media.
On Tuesday, the Mexican actress addressed Donald Trump’s remarks about immigrants in a very humorous way.
“I was wondering what would happen if Donald Trump had Hispanic heritage. So, I did a face swap,” Hayek said in a Face Swap video posted on her Instagram account.
She continued, “I don’t know why he is complaining, he could use some of my Latin genes.”
We must admit the Hayek/Trump hybrid is not the most attractive, but we can all agree that Trump could use some Latin flavor in his life.
When the GOP front-runner announced his candidacy in June 2015, the “From Dusk Till Dawn” star was a bit hesitant to share her opinion about the controversial remarks.
“I know him [Trump] a little bit, and I know it is a mistake to respond to anything he says because he will only use it for self-promotion,” Hayek said. “The Mexican community can be mad because I haven’t said anything…but I refuse to even pronounce his name and let him use me for publicity.”
However, after noticing the media monster Trump has become after continuously attacking immigrants, women, competitors, news anchors, and every other public figure that came his way, the actress decided to be more active and joined the conversation.
Back in April, the Veracruz-born actress called the real estate mogul out on Twitter after he mixed up 9/11 with 7/11.
“I am a dyslexic Mexican and English is my second language,” she tweeted. “However even I do not confuse 7/11 with 9/11. #DonaldTrump.”
While some public figures have decided to tackle the subject with humor, others have shared their personal stories to encourage U.S. citizens to vote against him in the upcoming elections.
“He always treated me rudely,” said former Miss Universe Alicia Machado. “I could share a thousand stories, but I will only speak about one episode: ‘Miss Housekeeping.’ That’s how he called me in front of his friends to make fun of me. And it shows that he doesn’t understand the value of being a domestic worker…These are the women who work hard, put their kids through college, and raised kids to be great citizens.”
