A Russian high school has become embroiled in arms production after students and teachers alike started using the facility's 3D printers to produce fins for grenades for Vladimir Putin's ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

"They have produced 400 components in less than two weeks. It is spectacular!" wrote the Arkhangel Children's Development Center on its VK page.

The high school, Gymnasium No. 24, has teamed up with Arkhangel Children's Development Center for the initiative, a children's youth center focused on providing military training and patriotic education to Russian youths.

"These components are now much needed for our compatriots — the servicemen of the Northern Fleet's 200th Motorised Rifle Brigade," said Aleksandr Fomin, Director of the Arkhangel Children's Development Center. "All kind of help is now very important, it again shows the unity of our people and the readiness of each and every one of us to provide our resources to the protection of the motherland."

In a post on Russian social media platform VK, Gymnasium No. 24 even asks supporters of the initiative to support by buying and donating 3D printing plastic to them.

The project is led by Gymnasium No. 24 teacher Denis Koposov, who was awarded a Diploma of Excellence from the Ministry of Enlightenment in 2023.

"Actually, a teacher is like a border guard, only that our borders are different. Also we serve so that Russia's border can be endless," wrote Koposov, who supports Russian expansionism, on his VK page.
