Runaway royal Prince Harry is laying low for now, said a royal expert.
Since he stepped down as a senior working royal and moved to the US with his wife Meghan Markle, Harry made several claims against his family members, reported Mirror. Last March, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sat down for a bombshell interview with popular host Oprah Winfrey. During the chat, the couple alleged there had been conversations about how dark their son Archie's skin would be before he was even born.
Harry also talked about a rift between him and his elder brother, Prince William, and shared how he felt "really let down" by his father, Prince Charles. He also revealed that he had been "cut off financially" by the royals. The bombshell claims made by the pair saw them being accused of damaging the Royal Family’s international reputation, according to Express.
Harry also lashed out at his father on the "Armchair Expert" podcast as well as the series "The Me You Can't See." However, after his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, suffered health issues in the later half of 2021, and as she is due to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee, Harry is laying low, royal expert Katie Nicholl claimed.
Nicholl told Closer magazine that he has a "history of lashing out at the establishment before." She said that Harry has talked about his “accident of birth” and the “burden of the crown." According to the expert, Harry has been "critical in the past, but then goes quiet." She thinks that since last year he has "paused and reflected." The expert added that he has realized how much 2021 took a toll on his grandmother, and "doesn’t want to cause any more upset, so is laying low for now."
There have been rumors that Harry and Meghan could visit the UK for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June. Since leaving for the US in 2020, Harry has returned to the UK only two times. He was in his home country for Prince Philip's funeral and later to unveil a statue of his late mother Princess Diana. Meanwhile, the former "Suits" star is yet to return to the UK with son Archie while her daughter Lilibet, who was born in the US, has never been to England.
