Ricky Martin has been on a roll with his tour throughout Latin America and know he is delivering more good news. It is being reported that the Puerto Rican singer will be tying the knot with his boyfriend!
According to E Online, Ricky Martin will be heading down the aisle! The singer stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Wednesday to discuss his latest projects with his career and he decided to spill the beans about his personal life. He will be marrying his boyfriend, Jwan Yosef after a year of dating.
Martin decided to propose to Yosef although he was extremely nervous. "I got on my knees and I took out the little metal box. I just had it in a little velvet pouch and instead of saying, 'Will you marry me?' I said, 'I got you something!' Bad," the singer said. "Then he was like, 'Yes.' I said, 'I want to spend my life with you,' and he was like, 'What is the question?' 'Would you marry me?' That's it." He described the proposal as "very beautiful," even if it took 30 minutes for him to realize Yosef said "yes."
Ellen DeGeneres, who is notorious for getting the scoop on celebrities personal life was thrilled about the announcement.
"I'm so happy for you," DeGeneres told Martin. "You deserve that."
Sharing some details about his new fiancee, Martin discusses that they met over their love of art. "He's a conceptual artist and I'm a collector. I started looking for art and I saw his art and I went crazy because I really love what he does. Really original," Martin gushed. "And then I contacted him."
DeGeneres quickly took the opportunity to make a joke.
"And then you collected him," Ellen DeGeneres says.
In addition to announcing his engagement, Martin stopped by the show to announce his Las Vegas residency at the Park Theater at Monte Carlo.
Martin also shares that his 8-year-old twins love Jwan.
"They love each other. It's perfect, Ellen," the singer said. "It's been really special."
