Brazilian footballer Ricardo Izecson dos Santos, better known as Kaká, has terminated his contract with the Italian team AC Milan, according to a club statement. "AC Milan announces that it has terminated its contract with Kaka in a mutual agreement," the statement said. Kaka played for Real Madrid, a club that he played for during a break from his 'Rossoneri' stage: he is now heading to the American League, according to Italian media.
The midfielder, 32, began playing in São Paulo before making the jump to the Lombard capital in the year 2003. He gave the best of his career to Milan with the conquest of the Champions League in 2007 and the Ballon d'Or in the same year. In addition, he won a Serie A, Italian Supercup, two European Super Cups and World Club Cup. In 2009 he signed for Real Madrid with Florentino Perez, but his step was rather discreet. He returned to Milan last season.
Like the Italian club, the Brazilian national team has also benefited greatly from Kaka: he has won a World Cup (2002) and two Confederations Cups (2005 and 2009) as the highlights of his 36 international appearances. Now all the attention is focused on what the future holds for Kaka, 32. The striker, who has already announced in an interview with news channel that Milan never wear the number 22, explained that the next step is to go to Sao Paolo to start his "adventure in America," then, specifically to Orlando City, where he will wear the number 10 jersey.
