A Florida Republican lawmaker shared choice words for fellow GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, after she claimed that the government can control the weather as Hurricane Milton barrels towards the Sunshine State.
Ahead of Milton's arrival and shortly after Hurricane Helene ripped through her state, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) claimed the government could manipulate the weather, reigniting conspiracy theories.
"Yes they can control the weather," Greene wrote on X. "Anyone who says they don't, or makes fun of this, is lying to you."

Here is Obama's CIA Director John Brennan talking about it.
Anyone who says they don't, or makes fun of this, is lying to you.

In response, Rep. Carlos Gimenez (R-FL) criticized Greene's statements on X and replied with: "NEW FLASH —> Humans cannot create or control hurricanes. Anyone who thinks they can, needs to have their head examined."

Despite widespread criticism, Greene remains adamant about her position and has shared several memes and articles which she claims supports the theory.
Rep. Chuck Edwards (R-NC), whose district has been most affected by Hurricane Helene, chimed in with a full report on his website debunking claims related to natural disasters.
"Nobody can control the weather," Edwards said in the note.
