Calle 13's frontman René Pérez spent almost his entire month of May in Siberia seeking insparation for his first-ever solo project. Yes, he's going solo for his next album release, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's the end of the Puerto Rican duo --as many speculated.
As Pérez enjoyed his time in the Eastern Asian part of Russia, where he was in a "Siberian forest, listening, learning and writing" for his new album as "Residente," news made the rounds that Calle 13 might split. However, the 37-year-old singer denies all rumors and confirms that there will be Calle 13 for a long, long, long time.
"Calle 13 will never separate, because besides being a big family, it's a concept where I put all of me and separating from everything I am is impossible," Residente said, according to People en Español.
The boys are currently working on their own projects, but will still be hitting the road together in 2015. Not much is expected to change as they embark new ventures. Resident also stated: "Before I only worked with my brother, who is one of the best musical producers I know. The difference is that now I will also collaborate with the rest of the world."
