The CW latest drama "Reign" premieres tonight and Fans are sure to be in for some sexy and stately scenes. In tonight's series premiere, fans will meet the main protagonist of "Reign," the young and beautiful Mary Queen of Scots, who is first known as Mary Stuart. "Reign" will follow the royal during the early years of her life in 1557 France, chronicling her tumultuous romantic relationships and her eventual rise to rule. The pilot episode opens with the 15-year-old Mary arriving in France, with her four ladies-in-waiting, whom she considers these young women her closet friends.
"Reign" will immediately introduce fans to Mary's dilemma, she arrives in France to secure Scotland's necessary alliance with the country, but being only a child herself, the young monarch is terrified to leave her home and parents. But despite her young age, her beauty and intelligence is needed for the survival of her home and ruling house, she is instructed by her family and house to cement the arranged engagement to French King's son, Francis II of France.
Mary, a bit naïve upon her arrival to the foreign country falls for Francis, who is destined for the throne. With a previously arranged engagement, Mary seems genuinely pleased with her future husband and King until the ruling family's secret begin to unravel. Mary soon learns that her walk down the aisle is anything but guaranteed. Francis is not the only member of the royal family that Mary is attracted to upon arrival. Francis has a half-brother named Bash, and despite being of illegitimate birth, Mary finds him quite interesting.
"Reign" stars Adelaide Kane as Mary, Toby Regbo as Prince Francis, Torrance Coombs as Bash, Megan Follows as Queen Catherine, Alan Van Sprang as King Henry, Celina Sinden as Greer,Caitlin Stasey as Kenna, Anna Popplewell as Lola, and Jenessa Grantas Aylee.
