Rockstar Games is generously giving Red Dead series fans teasers of the third installment of its Western themed action-adventure game, Red Dead Redemption 2. The forthcoming game follows Red Dead Revolver and Red Dead Redemption and new images of the game hit the internet back to back. As Tech Radar reports, a Read Dead Redemption 2 trailer release could arrive as soon as Thursday.
Developer Rockstar Games took to Twitter to hint that the Red Dead series franchise is back at it again, bringing the wild, wild west to game consoles like PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Over the weekend, Rockstar Games, also known for its Grand Theft Auto video game franchise, posted an image of its signature “R”logo against a red backdrop. This teaser immediately sent gamers into a frenzy, many are familiar with the promo pictures from Red Dead Redemption. Monday, Rockstar Games amps up fans with another teaser image from Red Dead Redemption 2. One look at the new photo featuring the silhouettes of seven cowboys standing below a blood red sky and the classic Western movie, The Magnificent Seven comes to mind. With the sunset and mountains as a backdrop, the game’s new teaser photo asserts that a Red Dead Redemption follow up is on the horizon.
The 2016 remake of the Magnificent Seven stars Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke. As Forbes suggests, perhaps the next Red Dead series entry will be known as Red Dead Remake? If the first two title releases of the Red Dead series are any indication, the new title’s third word will likely begin with the letter “R”. Read Dead Reloaded has a nice ring to it and underlines the Western theme as well as the Magnificent Seven movie remake.
Given the level of excitement that's been built around this next release, all Rockstar Games has to do now is drop a Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer to break the internet. Rockstar Games’ wildly popular Red Dead Redemption video game release in 2010 for Playstaion 3 and Xbox 360 is considered one of the greatest videos games of all time. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a tough act to follow as Rockstar Games shoots for yet another success story with its third Red Dead release.
