Neymar got Barcelona on the board early, but Real Madrid stormed back in the second half, scoring three unanswered goals to win El Clasico 3-1, and take control over 1st place in the Spanish Primera League.

Cristano Ronaldo, Pepe, and Karim Benzema each scored for Real Madrid, to end Barcelona’s run of shutouts in La Liga. Barcelona dominated the time of possession in the match, keeping control of the pitch over 60 percent of the match.

The game proved to be very physical, and the referee called the game very tight as he issued five yellow cards in the game, including Lionel Messi, Neymar, Andres Iniesta, and Gerard Pique in his bookings.

Luis “The Cannibal” Suarez made his debut for Barcelona after serving a four-month suspension for biting Italian defender, Giorgio Chiellini, during Uruguay’s group play match at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Suarez, started the match and got an early assist on Neymar’s goal. He was replaced in the 69th minute by Pedro.
