Brazilian soccer player Kaka of Real Mardrid made an excellent showing scoring two goals in the club's friendly against Deportivo. Immediately afterward, however, he made a shocking announcement to the media: He is looking to leave the squad by Monday. He said during the press interview that he still wishes to play in Europe, but right now he's looking for a quick exit from the club, a comment later confirmed by Cadena SER journalist Carlos Bustillo.

"I want to leave, the best thing for me and the club is to leave. My father is speaking with Real Madrid to find a way out, we can only hope for a solution before this next Monday. My intention is to keep playing in Europe," the star player said. Kaka, 31, joined the team in 2009 after leaving AC Milan. Injuries have plagued his run with the Spanish soccer team, leaving him out of starting lineups and placing him all over the board.

It is speculated that he may try to return to Milan as the club expressed desire to have him back. Other rumors include that he would be going back to play in Brazil, though his comments differ from that assertion. He may also try to get on a squad in the MLS. Real Madrid would get 10M€ if it chooses to sell him, though it originally paid 65M€ to get him on board in the first place.
