Say what you want about The View's Raven-Symone, but her time on Disney's That's So Raven will always be remembered and appreciated. After notching a successful run with the show back in the 2000s, many pondered on the idea of a sequel. Well, no need to wonder anymore considering Raven-Symone has solidified her decision to return to her prominent show.
According to Deadline, Raven will leave ABC's The View towards the end of the year to begin working on the equal for That's So Raven. This past Thursday (Oct. 26), she announced the news leave her esteemed colleagues and viewers. "I'm excited and sad, but I have an announcement to make," she told viewers. "We're doing a That's So Raven 2. With no real title. There's no title yet. But I'm calling it That's So Raven 2. I'm very excited."
Raven spent over a year with The View and was quickly deemed as the rambunctious host of the bunch because of her unfiltered style an brash delivery. Once she finishes the year, she'll be heading to L.A.. to work on the new show. As for her character Raven Baxter, she'll reprise the role and will play a divorced mother with several children, one that happens to inherit her psychic powers.
Aside from serving as the star of the show, she'll also be an executive producer. "Her performance in That's So Raven is timeless," said Adam Bonnett, Disney Channels Worldwide's EVP of Original Programming to Deadline. "We now have our eyes on the future with her, and we're looking forward to telling more stories for a new generation with an adult Raven Baxter raising her young family."
