Daniel Radcliffe said he would play Potter's father if the opportunity presented itself, but believes he is too old to reprise his role as the young wizard.

"No more schoolboy stuff," Radcliffe told Time Out Magazine. "A cameo as Harry's dad? That would be perfect."

Daniel Radcliffe became an international sensation in 2001 when he brought the beloved wizard Harry Potter to life in the first of what would become an eight-film series.

Now that the franchise has come to an end, the Harry Potter actors have moved on to bigger and brighter things. Emma Watson played Hermione Granger in all eight films. Since Potter came to an end she has gone off to college and starred in the cult hit "The Perks of Being a Wallflower."

Rupert Grint played Harry Potter's best pal, Ron Weasley. Since hanging up his wand, Grint has gone on to do a number of films according to IMDB, and was a guest voice on the popular America TV series "American Dad."

Now that his Harry Potter days are over, Radcliffe has been distancing himself from the popular character. Radcliffe has been spending a lot of time on stage. He starred on Broadway in two popular shows. The first was "Equus" in 2008 and the second was "How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," in 2011. He is currently back on stage in the UK.

According to Yahoo News, Radcliffe would be open to the idea of returning as Potter's father because the idea of fatherhood intrigues him. The 23-year-old actor said he is excited about the possibility of becoming a father and was inspired by his friends who already have children.
