Queen Elizabeth, Kate Middleton and many other royal females aren’t just high up there by their royal reputation alone. They make sure that they physically reflect their stature by their heel height too (actual height plus their choice of heels).
HELLO! magazine put them to the test to see who’s the highest of high when it comes to strutting the halls of the Windsor Castle. With their preferred weapon — flats, boots, kitten heels, wedges or stilettos — these beauties are showing the men who really runs this monarchy.
Queen Elizabeth II
There’s simply no questioning the Queen’s power, but when it comes to her actual height, her 5'4" stance gives the other girls a fighting chance to overshadow her in social or royal circle. Queen Elizabeth rarely wears high heels, trading them for some loafers with a two-heel block heel at most. Prince Philip towers at 6' anyway, so she doesn’t have to try. She’s still Queen anyway.
Princess Diana
Like the Queen, the Princess of Wales’ fashion sense grew up in an era (eighties and nineties), so she’s perfectly comfortable already with her low heels, which are two inches at most. Diana stands at 5'10", the same height as her former husband, Prince Charles.
Camilla Parker Bowles
Of course this comparison can’t be avoided. She might have eventually won the heart of the Prince of Wales, but Camilla is still no match for Diana when it comes to height. The Duchess of Cornwall is two inches shorter, at 5'8", and her aloofness to any heels higher than two inches doesn’t help her case.
Kate Middleton
The Duchess of Cambridge takes it a notch higher — or an inch and a half higher — with her “lean and elegant” 3.5-inch Rupert Sanderson heels. Kate is already 5'9", but with heels, she’s commonly seen at her glorious 6'1". She’s one inch shy from Prince William, who is at 6'2".
Meghan Markle
A fervent fan of the Italian brand Aquazzura, the Duchess of Sussex ’s heels range from 3½ to 4.5½, which boosts her height to 5'6" — but not enough to reach Prince Harry’s, who stands at 6'1".
