The Sony PS4 and Microsoft Xbox One will be given to every GameStop manager across the country for free this holiday season. Reports of this originally surfaced from the GameStop Expo in Las Vegas and was confirmed through their public relations team, according to Joystiq. The general managers of the chains will be receiving both consoles perhaps in an attempt so they can try them out and educate their employees and customers on the games and how the systems run.
The Playstation 4 will also come with seven games, "Killzone: Shadowfall," "NBA 2K14," "Madden," "FIFA 14," "Need for Speed: Rivals," "Battlefield 4" and "Beyond: Two Souls." Neowin reached out to GameStop and the company confirmed the detail. The Xbox One console will be given to all the general managers of the company's 6,500 stores, whether or not they attended the expo. No word on whether it will also include software or which games will come with the system.
The PlayStation 4 is expected out November 15 and the Xbox One will be out the same month.
The story broke on Reddit and NeoGaf forum boards, and many users expressed that they liked the white version of the console over the black one that has been in the bulk of the advertising. In 2010 Microsoft also gifted their employees with Windows Phone 7's and the Windows 8 phones.
