Sony has released an official unboxing video for the PlayStation 4 ahead of the next-generation consoles launch this week. Continuing their "Greatness Awaits" slogan the video quickly shows the contents of the standard PS4 box, including the 500 GB console, DualShock 4 Controller, HDMI and AC cables, mono headset and PSN voucher. It is worth noting that when the actual console is unboxed the first image is blocked by a light reflection and the rest of the view of the console is from weird angles until the end of the video, which shows the console from a distance.

A few commenters noted that there is a striking resemblance to Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories Unboxed" video! Everything from the mysterious stranger in brown gloves unboxing the console to the stage in its entirety, don't believe us take a look at the Daft Punk video here. This is the second video released by Sony for the PlayStation 4 prior to the consoles release. The first video was released for the PlayStation 4 as part of the #4ThePlayers campaign. The video features "Assassin's Creed" and tailoring, yes you read that right. It most likely is a reminder to gamers that "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" will have exclusive content via the PS4.

Check out the unboxing video below along with the "Assassin's Creed" tailoring viral video and let us know what you think. The PS4 is due to launch Friday November 15 for the U.S. and November 29 in Europe. Will you be buying the Sony PlayStation 4?
