Sony's PS4 launched less than a week ago and many users have already begun reporting problems with their console. Users have reported that the consoles overheat due to positioning of the device, which can potentially block the fan. A blue-light of death has been reported by users that say once they attempt to turn on their consoles all that happens is a blue blinking light that continues without any results. The latest issue that has been reported is the PS4 having issues with ejecting game disc or DVD's.
Sony has acknowledged various reports of users having trouble ejecting discs from their console. Unfortunately, the company has not yet been able to find a specific cause for the issue at hand. But you can help Sony by answering a few of their questions. If you are experiencing this problem or a similar problem, go to the PlayStation forums and answer these questions provided by the company. What title were you trying to eject? Were you installing any game data at the time? Did you see any game or system notifications beforehand (Ready to install notifications, error messages, etc.)? What troubleshooting steps did you attempt?
Although the number of post in this particular forum continue to grow Sony remains adamant that the number of affected PlayStation 4 units represents "less than 0.4 percent of shipped units to date," which is within the company's expectations. Meanwhile if you are one of the unfortunate gamers who happen to find themselves with a stuck disc in their console Sony recommends that you try to remove the disc manually. The company even provided a step-by-step directions in doing so. Check it out on the PlayStation support page here.
