Congratulations are in order for Prince William and Kate Middleton, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge! The royal couple is expecting their second baby, which will make the adorable Prince George a big brother. Kensington Palace revealed the news this morning through a press release. “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child. The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
As you might remember, when Kate was pregnant with Prince George, she suffered from acute morning sickness, which forced her to reveal her pregnancy before the 12-week milestone as she was followed by the media to a hospital visit to treat the symptoms. Unfortunately, the Duchess of Cambridge has the same symptoms again. “As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum,” said the palace statement. “Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.”
The new baby will become fourth in line to the throne, behind Prince George. We wish Kate a speedy recovery from the morning sickness and a happy pregnancy! We can’t wait to see the new prince or princess as we’re sure he or she will be just as adorable as Prince George.
