Have the differences between Prince William and Prince Harry grown beyond repair?
While the Duke of Sussex made the tension between the brothers apparent during a recent ITV documentary titled “Harry and Meghan: An African Journey," things are yet to turn to normal in regards to the alleged animosity.
Royal insiders have, reportedly, taken note of the widening gap between the dukes, and tried to get the brothers to make amends – but the efforts were in vain. Apparently, there’s a reason behind the growing disparities between the dukes of Cambridge and Sussex. “There’s always been a part of Harry that felt like he was living in his brother’s shadow,” a royal insider said to Us Weekly. “He doesn’t envy the responsibility that comes with being the future king of England, but William’s the ‘golden boy’ and Harry feels like he has a lot to live up to,” the source added.
Harry was upfront about the differences between his older brother and himself and didn’t shy away from letting the world know of their conflicts. Yet, Harry was certain that things will never get to a point, where the brothers won’t be around for each other. “Part of this role and part of this job, this family, being under the pressure that it’s under, inevitably stuff happens,” Prince Harry said “But look, we’re brothers, we’ll always be brothers. We’re certainly on different paths at the moment but I’ll always be there for him and as I know he’ll always be there for me,” he added.
Despite the alleged differences, it is said that Prince William is really devastated to see Harry in such a bad mind space at the moment. The brothers want to get closer, but they definitely don’t see it happening anytime soon. In the meantime, Harry seems more focused upon getting Meghan comfortable amid ruthless media scrutiny. He maintained that he would never want history to repeat itself and the nightmare to play out. Prince Harry is fiercely protective of his family’s well being -- i.e. Meghan and their son Archie and would go to great lengths to ensure Meghan doesn’t become a victim to the press, as was the case with his late mother, Princess Diana.
