The romantic new Holiday ad from Kay Jewelers for the Kay's Love Entwined diamond necklace has viewers doing a double -take. At first glance the couple spark a striking resemblance to the royal couple. It appears that Kay Jewelers is capitalizing on the controversial Netflix Harry & Meghan docu-series by hiring dead-ringers for the Sussexes.
The advertisement has been causing quite a stir online as users actually thought it was Prince Harry placing a diamond necklace on Meghan Markle. The cozy commercial has the Duke and Duchess doppelgängers nuzzled up before the man places the necklace around her neck, and then sharing a kiss - as Every Kiss Begins With Kay.
The camera angles, and lighting can certainly make viewers think they are seeing the real deal, especially when the couple is used to public embrace. However, it appears the jewelry brand has simply hired some very convincing look-alikes at a very convenient time. The new six-hour "Harry & Meghan" Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan”, broke a viewership record for Netflix with 28 million watching, also Prince Harry's memoir drops next month.
