Tabloids shrouded in flaky gossip can never really tire of the royal drama—even when there isn’t any. The latest buzz that made the rounds earlier this week was a controversial scheme in the offing by Meghan Markle that would see Prince Harry in the doldrums—an ugly divorce battle, which sees Markle roping in a top Hollywood lawyer.
Before you follow this piece of information with bated breath, here’s what you need to know. All the aforementioned allegations by a dubious magazine “Woman’s Day” goes by the headline —“Divorce Papers Leaked.” The juicy report carries inane information peppered with a few out-of-context quotes.
“You can’t tell me that this wasn’t her plan all along, to bring the boys to America, so she could live the celebrity life she’s always dreamed of,” said a question “insider” to the magazine. “But the scary thing is she now has Harry right where she wants him — isolated from his family in a country where she holds all the cards in terms of legal rights,” added the source.
The report is bogus, and a big sham from the get-go. To begin with, there are no clear-cut statements that speak of any legal battle between the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex. Second off, the article’s HL is plain attention-grabbing and the same is evidenced in the story which has no mention of any “leaked documents”. Even the quotes attributed to the attorney are generic quotes that have no relevance to this angle whatsoever.
Moreover, the portrayal of Markle as the “bad one” in the relationship has been done to death. Such stories are so popular, to the extent that it feels like a stale piece of information recycled in a desperate bid to arouse the interest of potential readers. What needs to be noted is that similar caustic trolls and tabloid gossip are exactly the reasons behind Harry and Meghan stepping down from the royal duties.
Markle screwing Harry over is clearly not the case at present, nor is there any truth to the two falling apart as Harry has time and again being very vocal about his support for Meghan and everything that she does.
