Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson have a very unique and fascinating relationship. While they have divorced, they remain very good friends and can often be seen going out together with their daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, as if they have not divorced at all.
The Duchess of York might have recently hinted what makes their unique relationship work. While they both live in the same house, they don’t really interfere with each other’s plans.
“I'm in and out all the time and he's in and out all the time,” Ferguson told Australian radio host Kyle Sandilands. Apparently, this arrangement works for both of them as they are one of those very few ex-couples who remain close friends despite being divorced.
Fans noted that, in the past few months, Prince Andrew and Ferguson have been spotted going out together to attend public events. For instance, the ex-couple, along with their daughter Princess Beatrice, arrived together for Lady Gabriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston’s wedding. They also went to Bahrain in what many considered as a family outing since Beatrice and her new boyfriend, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, were there as well.
These recent events even sparked speculations that Prince Andrew might be bent on remarrying his ex-wife. “Andrew is doing everything he can to bring Fergie back into the royal fold,” a source told New Idea.
However, another source said that remarriage is not in the works for Ferguson and Prince Andrew. “Reports of a reconciliation between Prince Andrew and Sarah are incorrect,” a source told E! Online.
This was also reconfirmed by a report from Vanity Fair. “They are the best of friends. Always have been, always will be,” one of Ferguson’s close friends told the publication. “The idea that they are having some hot romance as far as I know isn’t the case at all.”
“They don’t share a bedroom but they do share two houses and two gorgeous daughters who they adore,” the source added. “They are very close. I’d go so far as to say they love each other, they are just not in love with each other.”
