“Pretty Little Liars” is settled in to Season 4B and with more answers, simply come more questions. So what will the ever-determined Liars be investigated this week? It seems the girl are hot on the trail of discovering the truth behind’s Ali’s disappearance, however they aren’t the only ones connecting the dots. In the promo video for episode 15, “Love ShAck, Baby” the Liars realize that each step they take to figure out why Ali is on the run, only puts their long lost leader in more danger, the closer they get, the closer “A” gets. And while we aren’t yet sure who exactly Ali is afraid of, “A” has been warning the Liars to stop searching for years, which leads us to believe “A” doesn’t want Alison found and for good reason.
After Ezra was revealed as the latest and most likely greatest member of the “A” team, fans were eagerly looking forward to gaining some background about Mr. Fitz’s motivation for being an evil mastermind, and tormenting his girlfriend of years, but after the winter premiere “Who’s in the Box?” we were left more confused than ever! However there will be some significant Aria and Ezra screen time in “Love ShAck, Baby” but despite what the title of the episode implies, we don’t think the pair will be enjoying a romantic evening together, instead there scene will most likely take place in the classroom. While Ezra and Aria will not be visiting the Love ShAck, the Liars will be and they will be “stranded.” “Pretty Little Liars” writer Lijah Barasz tweeted a photo of the Liars in an unknown living room with the caption “stranded,” we know that this cabin is not the Hasting’s lake house, so it must be Ezra’s creepy cabin! After watching the promo video, we know that the Liars are not the only ones making a weekend visit to the cabin, “A” will also be there!
Even though I would love to believe the Liars will unhood EzrA while he is running around his secret cabin lair, it seems unlikely this early one. However, “Pretty Little Liars” director Norman Buckley did promise some “real surprises” in this week’s episode, so hopefully at least one of them have to do with Ezra! In addition to some excellent Ezra action, fans will be treated to some Alison. Buckley recently revealed a behind the scenes photo of episode 15, where Ali is clearly seen! The photo is of Ali who is seen sitting in a girl’s bedroom, at first glance it appears to be Emily’s window bench, but this could also be Ali’s old bedroom. Which makes us question, will we be seeing Ali in present day or in a flashback? Either way we are excited to see Sasha Pieterse back on set!
The synopsis of episode 15 delves deeper into the mystery surrounding Ali’s dairy. The winter premiere showed Hanna on her “A” game (pun intended) deciphering the mystery of not only Alison’s dairy but also her grave. Now that she has revealed the existence of the important piece of evidence, Hanna and the other Liars will have to uncover the truth within the coded journal entries. However, it seems like Ali never understood the phrase something are better left unsaid” because according to the episode 15 synopsis, “each story more personal than the last.” Meaning, Hanna, Spencer and Aria, and Emily may be a bit unwilling to admit which story is about them even if they recognize the encrypted tale. With secrets being uncovered in this week’s episode, it seems like fans will finally get their chance to see Spencer’s big secret. The deep secret regarding Spencer has never been touched upon in four seasons of the show, so we are assuming that it is pretty serious and also pretty dark. Troian Bellisario recently revealed what is in store for her character when the series returns this winter to ABC Family, "It really, really affects her relationship with Toby and with the girls, and it reveals a lot about why she wasn't passed out with the other girls the night that Alison died."
