This weekend Premios TVyNovelas 2015 will honor the best in Televisa telenovelas. Nine productions were eligible this year to compete for the accolade given by the magazine, those soaps were: "El Color De La Pasión," "La Gata," "Lo Que La Vida Me Robó," "Por Siempre Mi Amor," "Que Pobres Tan Ricos," "Quiero Amarte," "Mi Corazón Es Tuyo," "Yo No Creo En Los Hombres" and "La Malquerida." One of our favorite categories of the night is the Best Theme Song. Who doesn't remember telenovela by listening to the tune in the opening credits? years pass by and by listening to that song again you are transported to the time you watched nightly in desperation, happiness and so much passion.
Up for the honor are four theme songs. The "Lo Que La Vida Me Robó" track by Enrique Iglesias featuring Marco Antonio Solís couldn't be left out of this category. Apart from being in a successful series starring Angelique Boyer and Sebastián Rulli, the song was redone in a "bachata" version. Another one nominated was the theme for "Mi Corazón Es Tuyo." The fast-beat tune of the same name by Axel and Kaay is what the series is about, having fun and telling your loved ones how much you feel for them. Also up for the award is "Hoy Es Un Buen Día" by Río Roma, which opened up "El Color De La Pasión." Although we have not seen this in the U.S., the song is beautiful and goes in sync with the storyline as well.
The last theme song nominated is "Quiero Amarte" which featured six singers all led by Mr. Armando Manzanero. The tune of the series that starred Karyme Lozano and Cristián De La Fuente, was probably the only good thing about this production. The winner of this category will be revealed this Sunday, March 8 in a live gala. Listen to all the nominated theme songs down below and tell us which one is your favorite!
