After revealing the nominations early December of last year, Premio Lo Nuestro later announced the lineup of artists set to perform at the 28th annual award show. The list includes Cuban duo Gente de Zona, Regional Mexican singer Gerardo Ortiz, Bachata crooner Prince Royce, Mexican pop star Thalía, Puerto Rican urban artist Yandel and Colombia sensation Maluma, amongst many others. In addition, PLN will honor Colombian singer Carlos Vives with the renowned "Premio Lo Nuestro a la Excelencia" award for his extraordinary music career.
Amongst the nominees are Romeo Santos who leads the pack with seven nominations, including Male Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Artist of the Year. The iconic Juan Luis Guerra is also at the top, following with six nominations, while Maná, Marc Anthony and Nicky Jam follow the Caribbean stars with five nods each. Shakira, Banda Los Recoditos, Enrique Iglesias, Gerardo Ortiz, J Balvin, Prince Royce, and Ricky Martin are close with 4 nominations each.
That said, we think it’s safe to say you won’t want to miss a thing; “Premio Lo Nuestro a la Música Latina” will broadcast live at 8 p.m. ET tonight via Univision Network and Univision NOW.
