Late last year, Lionsgate revealed that the hit '90s TV series “Power Rangers” was making a comeback to the big screen, which got fans extremely excited. The cast was also announced with Becky G as Yellow Ranger, Ludi Lin as Black Ranger, RJ Cyler as Blue Ranger, Naomi Scott as Pink Ranger and newcomer Dacre Montgomery as Red Ranger.
Now, singer and actress Becky G took a moment to talk about the film after the studio shared a 20-second clip revealing the movie’s new poster, which includes the five superheroes in the shadows plus the phrase, “Together we are more.”

“It's Power Rangers. That was my childhood. And the fact that I get to play the Yellow Ranger, c'mon,” the 19-year-old performer told Billboard. “That's my favorite color!”
Additionally, the “Shower” singer talked about the “amazing friendships” she made while working on the film. “The other Rangers and I have become like a family,” she said, before explaining that, before, she just thought actors said they became close with their castmates just to say it, but now she understands it is true. “I spent so much time with them and went through so many things together: the hours, the hard work that goes into it, the blood, sweat and tears. We're very proud of our work.”
Earlier this year, the songstress also spoke about her connection to her character Trini, Yellow Ranger. “In real life, it feels like I'm connected to my character on-screen because it's a coming-of-age story. These young people figuring out who they are, what their place is in the world, at the same time as becoming these superheroes,” she explained. “When I'm acting as Trini, it's really easy to relate to because we're both kind of on this page in our lives.”
The action packed film is expected to hit theaters on Jan. 13, 2017.
