When Porsche introduced the new Panamera Sport Turismo Concept design study at the debut of the 2012 Paris Motor Show, enthusiasts were not only surprised with what an aesthetic upgrade the new shooting brake was compared to the original Panamera, but how stunning it was in execution in general.
Answering the growing hype from both industry critics and car enthusiasts, Porsche design director Michael Mauer is featured in Porsche's latest short film to shed some light on the Panamera Sport Turismo Concept's intentions in both design language as well as in terms of an extended Panamera hybrid family in Porsche's future.
An interesting new way in shaping the Panamera's rear end, Michael Mauer also suggests that the design will likely be captured in other models in the Porsche range as well, most likely the next Cayenne or Macan crossover.
