A police Lamborghini? No, this isn't EA's latest "Need For Speed" video game or is it Alex Roy returning to Gumball.
The wealthy city of Dubai is known for its luxurious excess and its appreciation for glistening supercars racing through the gorgeous stretches of desert road. Responding to the growing trend of Emirati playboys that live fast and die young, the Dubai police force has opted to fight fire with fire -- introducing the Police spec Lamborghini Aventador Interceptor.
For those that need to be reminded why Lamborghini is the hypercar king, the flagship Aventador is fitted with a brutal 6.5 liter V12 powerplant with a power output of 691-hp and 509 lb.-ft. of torque. The Aventador is capable of accelerating from 0-to-60 mph in less than 3 seconds before travelling to a top speed of 217 mph. In a nutshell, the Dubai Police Lamborghini Aventador can be considered use of excessive force in 46 different countries.
Power like the Lamborghini Aventador does not come cheap. According to Autoguide, the Dubai Police Lamborghini is worth $390,000, the price of approximately eight brand-new police-equipped Ford Crown Victorias.
