Pokemon fans rejoice! It has been revealed that the soundtrack for the hit game "Pokemon X and Y" has been released. The "Pokemon X and Y" soundtrack is now available on iTunes for only $10 and includes 212 tracks. Since this is a soundtrack to a video game, you shouldn't go in with expectations of grand masterpiece three to five minute tracks. When actually a large portion of the tracks will just be simple tunes that get looped within the game.
This is the first time a Pokemon soundtrack was made available in iTunes, but it won't be the last. Over the course of 2014, the other Pokemon game soundtracks will be released on Apple's platform. These soundtracks will include "Black and White" and their sequels, "Diamond and Pearl," "Ruby and Sapphire," and more. It hasn't been revealed how many tracks will be on the upcoming Pokemon soundtracks but if this recent release is any indication then they should have a considerable amount of tracks.
Again the "Pokemon X and Y" soundtrack is available on iTunes for $10. The games soundtrack includes 212 tracks and from the reviews the soundtrack is doing very well. Joe Mello wrote on the comment section of iTunes, "Honestly, Pokemon games have some of the greatest themes out of any game series period. It is clear a lot of effort goes into each and every single track. I would pay $40 for this, but it's only $10. Gamefreak truly is one of the only companies that actually cares about its fan base. Now if only they could release previous soundtracks :)"
