A brand new Pokémon has been revealed for "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y." The Pokémon is named Doublade and is an evolution to Honedge, a steel/ghost-type that is exclusive to "Pokémon X and Y." Some physical attributes have been released as well. The new Pokémon is about two-feet tall and weighs nine pounds. Doublade shares the No Guard ability that Honedge has.
The Pokémon Company announced the official news via Facebook and said of Doublade's features "This Steel- and Ghost-type Pokémon is capable of carrying out intricate attacks by telepathically coordinating its two blades to deliver twice the slice in battle." This is the third new Pokémon released in the past week.
Earlier this week, two fossil type Pokémon were revealed as well. Tyrunt a Rock/Dragon type who evolves into Tyrantrum and Amaura, which is a Rock/Ice type Pokémon contained in the Sail Fossil that evolves into Aurorus.
Aside from the new Pokémon, fans have awesome new features to look forward to. In "Pokémon X and Y", gamers will be able to utilize Mega Evolutions, which lets certain Pokemon evolve beyond their final stages. There have been about 11 Pokemon who will be have the ability to Mega Evolve.
The "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" video games will be released in Australia, Europe, Japan and North America for the Nintendo 3DS and the newly announced Nintendo 2DS.
