Last month it was revealed that Nintendo and the Pokémon Company would give out a special edition Vivillon to "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" gamers. The reason for doing this was to commemorate 100 million global trades made on both titles for the 3DS. Well now it seems Nintendo is at it again but this time with company will be giving out Heracross and Pinsir.
Heracross will be for X, while Pinsir will be for Y and both will be available to US players through a special distribution event held by Nintendo. Running from Aug. 13 to Sept. 17 the Bug-type Pokémon Pinsir will be available for "Pokémon Y" through your 3DS wireless connection and Fighting-type Heracross will be available for X through the same distribution method.
VG247 also reports that on Aug. 18 owners of either Pokémon game can go to GameStop and pick up a code for a Mega Stone that Pinsir or Heracross can hold. The code unlocks a Heracronite Mega Stone for "Pokémon X" and a Pinsirite Mega Stone for "Pokémon Y."
Both Heracross and Pinsir come at level 50 with the Adamant natures. Heracross abilities include either Swarm or Guts while Pinsir's will be Hyper Cutter or Mold Breaker. Heracross' move set includes Pin Missile, Bullet Seed, Mega Horn and Close Combat. While Pinsir's includes X-Scissor, Earthquake, Return and Stone Edge.
Meanwhile the company also revealed they would make another special edition Vivillon available to players. This Poké ball patterned Vivillon can be obtained on either version of the title and is being distributed to celebrate the grand opening of a brand new Pokémon Center website.
