During a new episode of the Japanese Pokémon-focused series "Pokénchi," a new clip of the forthcoming games "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" was revealed. The clip teased more new features for the two newest additions to the popular video game franchise. The Pokémon-focused show revealed a new image from the new games that showed several subtle new changes to "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon's" battle system, reports Comicbook.com.
This new image seemingly confirms that players will able to see the opposing trainers commanding their Pokémon in battle. In previous Pokémon titles, trainers could only be seen before and after the battle. Some bystanders can also be seen standing to the side, which indicates that some Pokémon battles will actually have audiences similar to the anime series.
Furthermore, new HP bar can also be seen with a "paint stroke" background in the upper right hand corner. While these changes are hardly revolutionary, it is a subtle touch that adds a bit more realism to the battle system.
Meanwhile, a handful of new Pokémons have been introduced to the new games. These Pokémons include the three starters with Rowlet, Litten and Popplio as well as the two unnamed Legendaries, which are featured on the cover art for both games. Another is the mythical ball-shaped Pokémon named Magearna, who was introduced earlier this year. Furthermore, during the announcement for "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" back in February, Nintendo showed a glimpse of modeling for a new bird type Pokémon, which has yet to be revealed.
"Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" will be released for the Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 18 in the U.S., Japan and other countries and on Nov. 23 in Europe.
