Originally slated for release December of 2013 the Poke Transporter and Pokemon Bank have both arrived on the Nintendo eShop. With the release of both we thought it would useful to show gamers a quick guide on how to use the Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter.
To use the Poke Transporter launch Pokemon Black/White or Black 2/White 2 not the actual app. Fill up Box 1 in your PC with the Pokemon you wish to move into “Pokemon X Y.” The Transporter will only acknowledge Box 1. Once Box 1 is filled, save your game and exit. Then launch the Poke Transporter app and do not remove your game from the console. You will be asked to transfer those Pokemon to the Bank's Transport Box temporarily.
Once that step is finished exit the Poke Transporter app. From your 3DS home screen remove whatever game is in your device and insert “Pokemon X or Y” but do not start it. You will then start the Pokemon Bank app and transfer over your Pokemon.
When you launch the Pokemon Bank app you will see the following screens. The upper screen shows your personal Boxes that are stored online using Pokemon Bank. The lower screen shows your PC Boxes in “Pokemon X and Y.” You can divide the 100 Boxes available for your personal use in Pokemon Bank into groups.
Now you can either move these Pokemon into one of the groups of the Bank for safe keeping or you can move them into “Pokemon X and Y.” If your cursor is red press the start button twice, this will allow your green cursor to highlight and select whole groups of Pokemon, making physically moving them into your “Pokemon X and Y” boxes on the lower screen significantly faster. Finally, if you press the Y button it will allow you to enter search criteria if you happen to be looking for a specific Pokemon; otherwise, the X button will save your progress.
As a bonus gamers get a free level 10 Celebi with a random nature before Sept. 30, 2014. To claim your Celebi simply launch “Pokemon X, Y” and goto the main menu. From there, scroll down and select the green "Pokemon Link" bubble. For a how-to-use approach to Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter check out the FAQ page on the Pokemon website.
