On Sunday, the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host the 2-3 Philadelphia Eagles as they attempt to post their first win of the season. They'll hope that they can take advantage of a Michael Vick-less Eagles, as his tweaked hamstring means backup quarterback Nick Foles will reportedly be taking the snaps for Philadelphia this week. Eagles fans will hope that Coach Chip Kelly's high-powered offense won't be hobbled by the missing Vick. The Buccaneers cut QB Josh Freeman this week after all 31 teams in the NFL said they weren't interested in trading for him, meaning Tampa Bay is responsible for about another $6 million in what's left of Freeman's salary. The quarterback had had three stellar seasons, with more than 3,700 each over the last three years, but had been pretty bad this season - after averaging only 190 yards per game with a sub-50 percent completion rate, Coach Greg Schiano benched him. And he was stripped of his captaincy after a secret-ballot vote among Bucs players earlier this year (although some players reportedly doubted that Schiano hadn't rigged the results).

But Philadelphia's defense is still awful, coming in at 31st in the league in average yards allowed and 30th in points surrendered. Their key to victory is through an offensive which has posted impressive stats (with an average of 27 points and 454.8 yards per game) but has had trouble in the red zone in some games. In spite of the offense's success with Vick at the helm, there's been talk here and there of a quarterback controversy after Nick Foles put in a stellar showing against the Giants last Sunday. Foles entered the game with 1:25 left in the second quarter and went 16-for-25 with his passes, with 197 yards and two touchdowns.

Coach Chip Kelly was asked on Monday after the Giants game if Foles could win the starting job if he does well against the Bucs. "Can [Foles] win the starting job? If Nick goes out there and goes 100 for 100 ... sure," he said, according to ESPN. "If somebody comes in and puts on an unbelievable performance, you have to take it all into account. If Nick plays this week and does an outstanding job, that will be great for everybody."

Philadelphia, who are tied with Dallas for first place in their division, are hoping they can capture the top slot with a victory.

Those who elect to catch the game on television can tune in to the NFL Network at 1 p.m. EST on Sunday, Oct. 13. If you're watching it on an online live stream, you can visit NFL.com or follow this link.
