Pep Guardiola is recognized as one of the best coaches in the world, not just for his technical capacity but he's also said to be very close to his players. However, a video is making the social media rounds that shows just how close he is to them, and it's causing a lot of LOLs. In a match over the weekend during the German Cup when Bayern Munich was playing Borussia Dortmund, French striker Franck Ribéry was injured on his side. Guardiola jumped in to massage him but the position was, well, somewhat suggestive.
Pep Guardiola's video has since spread across social media with various memes, videos and hashtags. In the first of these videos, Pep appears to be helping Ribery, who was kneeling on the floor. The scene has been the source of much talk because it's so peculiar: Pep is seen rubbing and slapping Ribery on the behind. In the second instance, Ribery can be seen hugging Pep Guardiola up in the air after his team won the match, as if returning the favor.
Meanshile, Pep Guardiola has confessed to German journalists that his wife wears the pants in their relationship. Guardiola revealed that a phone call he made after the game as soon as the whistle sounded was to his wife. Journalists rushed the coach for a statement, to which he replied it is always for his wife. "Meine Frau," he replied when asked who he was talking to on the cellphone sitting on bench. So while his relation to Ribery is clearly platonic, the videos are hilarious!
