Dreams have come true for actress/model Mónica Cruz, who just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in the Ruber Internacional hospital in Madrid, Spain.

According to Hola.com, the actress entered the hospital around 10:30 a.m. (4:30 a.m. EDT), accompanied by her sister Penélope Cruz, also pregnant with her second child. Minutes later, their mother Encarna and their brother Eduardo, along with actress Goya Toledo, entered the clinic to be a part of the delivery.

Six hours later, Mónica finally went into labor, and a little before 6:00 p.m. (12 a.m. EDT), Eduardo Cruz posted a picture on his Twitter account that read: "Viva la vida."

Mónica, 36, announced her decision to become a single mother in January 2012, after evaluating the option of artificial insemination to fulfill her desire to become a mom.

The last time the actress was seen in public was May 1. Despite her advance pregnancy, she did not miss the premiere of the new season of "Águila Roja," where she acts.

Cruz's daughter arrived just a couple of months before her 7-month-pregnant sister Penélope gave birth to her second child.
