Felipe Restrepo Betancour, Paulina Rubio's former assistant was the name that sparked controversy last month when he claimed that the artist allegedly beat him, and didn't follow through on the arrangements of his contract.

Restrepo Betancour, originally from Colombia, who aspires his own artistic career, decided to clear up some details of the incident claiming that Paulina Rubio did pay him $6,000, but that money was part of his compensation for his work.

"I can't expand on the subject because my lawyers advised me not to talk too much. But the lawsuit has to do with physical violence, aggression and humiliation. Everything that happened was a result of an unwanted plane seat, and then she tried to cover her actions by saying that I was an incompetent drunk," explained the former assistant.

The plane incident he's referring to happened recently when the diva wasn't seated in Business Class and she lashed out at him, according to his allegations.

In spite of the recent events, the former assistant said that he was very grateful for the job he had, he developed an "infinite patience", made a lot of connections that could help him in his future artistic career and learned to be humble and the correct way to treat celebrities as big as "La Chica Dorada."
