Paulina Rubio is making one heck of a comeback after giving birth to baby Eros. The 44-year-old singer announced on Tuesday that she is set to debut in the Banda music genre at the end of the year with a song she is currently working on next to regional Mexican music star, Roberto Tapia.
“The song has no title yet,” Tapia told the media. “We already started writing it, but it’s not finished. We started it a year ago but we haven’t been able to come up with a name yet. It’s a song based on love, it’s practically our story.”
Before anyone started jumping into conclusions he added, “Of her and her partner [Gerardo Bazúa] and mine with my partner.”
La Chica Dorada and the Sinaloa native met a few years ago on the set of Telemundo’s reality singing competition, “La Voz Kids,” were they worked together and were able to build a strong friendship.
“I have a very nice relationship with Paulina Rubio,” Tapia said. “I was at her house a couple of weeks ago after the Latin Billboard Awards, and we talked about moving forward with the song we had been working on.”
Paulina made her big return to the stage at the Telemundo annual award ceremony on April 28, where she performed her latest single “Si Te Vas” featuring Latin Grammy nominated reggaeton duo, Alexis & Fido.
The “Ese Hombre Es Mío” performer welcomed her second son, Eros, only two months before making a sizzling appearance at the event.
“My pregnancy is wanted and unexpected. I’ve always wanted to have more kids,” Rubio told HOLA! back in December when her baby bump was revealed. “When I found out I was going to be a mom again, I felt I was a very lucky woman. It is wonderful to feel life in you. I enjoy pregnancy in every single way.”
La Pau has an older son, Andrea Nicolás, whom she had with former husband Nicolás “Colate” Vallejo.
