It's the moment dancers around the world have been waiting for. Paula Abdul finally joins Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance."

After 10 seasons and a 27 percent decrease in ratings this summer, Abdul will finally make her debut as a guest judge on the TV show today.

Before Abdul was a pop singer and a judge on American Idol, she first broke out as a Los Angeles Lakers cheerleader and later a choreographer for Janet Jackson.

"It's the girl I've waited ten seasons for," executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe tweeted when breaking the news about Abdul's appearance. The dancer turned singer also confirmed it on her Twitter. "This time, the rumors are true!! Lol!! I WILL be joining the #SYTYCD panel tomorrow night!"

The rumors she's referring to go as far as her exit from American Idol in 2009, when reports soon surfaced that Abdul was speaking with Lythgoe, who was also an executive producer on "Idol," about joining the dance competition series. Instead, Abdul created her own dance show, "Live to Dance," which aired on CBS in 2011. She most recently served as a guest judge on the All-Stars edition of "Dancing with the Stars."

As further preparation for the big appearance, Paula also shared the following quote from famous choreographer George Balanchine: "Dancers are instruments, like a piano the choreographer plays."

Fox Sports personality Erin Andrews will also guest-judge the episode.

"So You Think You Can Dance" airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Fox.
