Passive-Aggressive Plane Passenger Gets Back at 'Boomer' Seatmate for Losing Temper at Woman with Bathroom Emergency

A passive-aggressive airplane passenger got back at an older man sitting near him on the plane, after the older passenger lost his temper with a woman who was having a bathroom emergency, according to a viral post.

In the now-viral story shared to Reddit, the user said that they had been sitting in the very back of a flight, but drama emerged after a man sitting in the row across from him began complaining about people getting up after the plane had landed.

u/ZHISHER said that the seatbelt light had just turned off on the plane when they and a woman, who had been sitting in the row behind them, got up to wait in the aisle.

"One of the women stands up and lines up behind me, that's when I hear him: 'Where do you think you're going? No ones getting off yet. Sit down and stop crowding us,'" the user said.

The woman replied saying she really needed "to use the bathroom," to which the user said the man began muttering and saying something "boomery."

When the user tried to let the woman in front of him, the man reportedly said, "No! No! No! We get off row by row! Row by row, we don't go ahead of people, we don't push and shove, we get off row by row."

Despite the user trying to calm the man down, they said he insisted that they had to get off "row by row."

So, as the user and the man make their way down the aisle, the user said they decided to stop and wait for a family getting their baby ready "to make sure boomer isn't going anywhere."

"The dad says it's okay, they're going to be a moment, but I say very loudly 'no no, we get off row by row. Row by row, you guys go ahead,'" the user wrote, adding that they ended up waiting about three or four minutes for the family to get ready.

The user then forced the man to wait another couple of minutes for a woman who was waiting for help from a flight attendant, once again repeating what the man had said, saying "we get off row by row."

u/ZHISHER said the man protested the first time he made them wait, but did not say anything the second time around. In a comment under the post, the user added that another woman waiting behind them appeared to not mind his little show, and smiled at him when he looked at her.

The post has since garnered more than 12,000 upvotes on the subreddit r/BoomersBeingFools, with dozens of comments cheering on the user.
