Mexico Wins Gold Cup Match
After a rough start for the Mexican National Soccer Team at the CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament, the team pulled together and knocked Canada in a 2-0 final score. Mexico has already qualified for the knockout stage but will play one more game against Martinique in Denver on July 14 to finish off this first phase. Reuters

Fans are gearing up to see Mexico take on Panama in a match tonight. If Mexico can pull off a victory they can keep themselves in line for a guaranteed spot at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The first two of three guaranteed spots at the World cup have already gone to the United States and Costa Rica. Mexico will be in some big trouble if they are unable to win tonight's match against Panama. The team from Panama has already beaten El Tri twice this year and they are looking to make tonight their third win over the team from Mexico.

Mexico will not be so easily counted out. The coach has reportedly been working on new strategies to make sure Panama will not take El Tri in tonight's match. "We're looking to be very aggressive, we need goals, we're looking at players that can score," said El Tri coach Victor Manuel Vucetich in a recent press conference. If Mexico cannot win tonight it will no longer be in their power to get themselves to the 2014 World Cup. Panama is looking to make sure El Tri suffers a defeat tonight.

Having already defeated Mexico at the group phase and then once again at the CONCACAF Gold cup Finals Panama is looking at tonight as an easy win. "If you've already managed it, experienced what used to look impossible, you've realized it isn't. So of course it's possible a third time. We're not used to seeing Mexico in this situation," said Panama coach Julio Cesar Dely Valdes to Reuters.
