For better or for worse: For Adam O'Neil, that should have been his vows ... to Facebook.

O'Neil, a native of Washington, has been charged with bigamy after his Facebook account revealed that he was married to two women at the same time. O'Neil married a woman in 2001, whom he separated from in 2009 although never divorced. He then changed his name and married another woman.

The controversy started when Facebook, through it's "People you may know" side bar, suggested both wives become friends.

"Wife No.1 went to wife No. 2's profile and saw a picture of her and her husband with a wedding cake," Prosecutor Mark Lindquiat said. Court records show that O'Neil -- formerly known as Alan Fulk -- admitted to still being married to his first wife.

O'Neil is facing bigamy charges and may spend up to a year in jail if convicted.
