Klaus and Marcel catch up in episode 2 "House of the Rising Son." CW

"The Originals" premiered for the second time following the Season 5 premiere of "Vampire Diaries" and it didn't disappoint in the drama department. Episode 1, "Always and Forever" reintroduced the first family of vampires, the notorious Mikaelsons. The "Vampire Diaries" spinoff has created even more bloodsucking fun for fans of the supernatural series. In the pilot episode Klaus Mikaelson returns to New Orleans in order to reclaim his kingdom. But things get a bit tricky when Klaus encounters his protégé, Marcel who is now the ruling king of New Orleans.

Episode 2, "House of the Rising Son" introduces the only Mikaelson daughter, Rebekah. We saw Rebekah leaving Mystic Falls after a passionate goodbye kiss with Matt in the season 5 premiere of "Vampire Diaries," and now we will catch back up with her as arrives in New Orleans. Even though she initially refused to be apart of Klaus' war against Marcel, she is back, but her reason for returning is still unknown. Has her romance with Marcel compelled her back home?

Or does it have to do with her brother Elijah, whom she seems to genuinely care for. "How many times will Elijah forgive you?" she angrily asks Klaus. And while brothers normally stick together it seems like Rebekah does not want to miss out on the family fun. But the welcome home will certainly not be what she expected; the video promo shows her fighting off some people at a bar with a pool stick. Rebekah isn't the only female having a tough time in New Orleans. Hayley, Klaus' one nightstand and the mother of his soon to be heir, is not adjusting well to life with the Mikaelson family. After protecting herself from a crowd of people, Hayley explains that she didn't think she even wanted her baby, until she had to fight for it.

"House of the Rising Son," episode 2 of "The Originals" will air Tuesday, October 8 at 8 p.m. on the CW.
