"The Originals" has taken a dark turn and depending on who you're rooting for it can be for the worst or the best. Klaus finally dethroned his protégé Marcel, and has now instated himself as the reigning king of New Orleans, and considering the hybrid is immortal we are assuming Klaus is taking the old "long live the King" cliché to heart. The CW has released two sneak peek videos and while the two of them are quite contrasting one theme reigns true through both, Klaus takes what he wants, and he does so with force.
In episode 9, "Reigning Pan in New Orleans" the Big Easy will begin to feel the changes with their new ruthless King, however, while Klaus has set up his new home back in the Mikaelson mansion, where Marcel previously dwelled, his first order of business takes place in the Bayou. Klaus may be back in his family home, but he is not one for sentiments, in tonight's episode Klaus sets his freshly acquired vampire army on a rampage, to "let the blood flow." But the blood is not human, nor vampire, instead it's the blood of the few remaining werewolves, aka Hayley's last living relatives. With a growing belly, and growing fears for her child, Hayley is seen begging Klaus to call off the raid, citing that they are her family, although Klaus simply dismisses the mother of his child stating "not for long, love."
Talk about the cold shoulder. However, Hayley's belly isn't the only thing blossoming, her feelings for Elijah are also growing. She turns to him and Rebekah for help, and although Rebekah seems reluctant to help at first, we are assuming the Hayley and the two siblings will rally together to save the werewolves from Klaus's intended slaughter. Hayley isn't the only one realizing her deep connection to Elijah, Rebekah also feels it. The feisty vampire demands her older brother admit his feelings for Hayley. And while the werewolves will most likely be spared in "Reigning Pan in New Orleans" there is still a ton of blood flow in the promo video, so who else is on Klaus's list? Well, per usual anyone who stands in his way. So with Elijah and Hayley's relationship heating up and Rebekah aligning with the new couple, will Klaus soon turn on his own blood? Well, anything is possible, and now that he has an army of vampires and all the resources of a kingdom, it's most certainly possible.
